We are about 820 employees in the Danish Maritime Safety Administration, who work towards the vision of the Danish waters being the safest in the world to sail around.

Navigation Safety
Although we already have impressive navigation safety in Danish waters, we see it as our task to constantly consider new and improved ways for navigation and make any technology available to us and our ships.

Help those in distress at sea
We work primarily towards prevention, but if it still goes wrong we help the ships in distress.

International focus
Denmark is among the leading seafaring nations in the world, and therefore we have many ships sailing the seven seas. It is in Danish shipping interests to think about navigation safety globally. We see it as our duty to develop the Danish Maritime Safety Administration’s own services and make a significant contribution to international developments, so ships not only navigate safely in Danish waters, but throughout the world.
