Wrecks
What is permitted?
It is permitted to dive, take photographs, etc., on all wrecks found in Danish waters, unless a diving ban has been issued for the wreck or for the area where it is located. Areas with diving prohibitions appear on the Danish sea map and in legislation 135 of the Danish Maritime Authority (Søfartsstyrelsen) dated 4 March 2005, with later amendments.
It is only permitted to salvage wrecks or objects from wrecks if you have permission from the Danish Maritime Safety Administration. You must also have our permission to make any alterations to the wreck or its surroundings (e.g. washing down or detonating).
